My testimony...

I grew up in a small Baptist church in Oklahoma.  My grandma took me to church with her every Sunday.  At the age of 6, I asked Jesus to come into my heart and I was baptized.  I continued to attend church throughout high school, but never really grasped the word of God.  As negative things began to happen in my life, my faith began to decrease; eventually reaching a point where I didn’t believe in God at all.  When I went to college, I completely stopped going to church.

After moving to Fort Worth, I attended several churches, but never found a place where I felt I belonged.  It was tough to be in places (churches) where I felt like my life was constantly being examined and judged.  So once again, I stopped going to church and I began to let alcohol be the “problem solver” in my life.

One day, a member of TLC invited me to come and after a few weeks past, I eventually attended.  I believe that my life was changed that day.  Every day since then, God’s word has become more and more real to me.  TLC is truly a place where I feel supported and accepted.
